The Club came to Sooke River for the first time as a group. A number of campers stayed here on their own in the past.

The weather cooperated with warm days and cool evenings as fall approached.

Highlights include watching a mother and two cubs forage along the river on the opposite side. The bears even ventured to our side of the river during the night. A little scary as our dogs felt their presence even though we couldn’t see the bears in the dark…we could hear them fishing in the water.
